Trinity College Nabbingo yesterday conducted a productive Senior One Parents’ Orientation meeting that brought together parents and school administration to discuss the academic journey ahead for the incoming students.
The well-attended session focused on two main objectives. First, school officials provided parents with detailed information about the academic programmes, curriculum structure, and teaching approaches used at the college. This gave parents a clear understanding of what their children will experience in their first year of secondary education.
Secondly, the meeting explored practical strategies for helping students achieve their academic goals right from Senior One. The school emphasized the importance of partnership between parents and teachers in monitoring student progress, maintaining open communication, and creating supportive learning environments both at school and at home.
Parents Volunteer for Academic Committee

A highlight of the orientation was the enthusiastic response from parents who volunteered to serve on the S.1 Academic Committee. Several parents stepped forward and were elected to this important body, which will work alongside the school administration throughout the academic year.
The committee will serve as a bridge between parents and the school, helping to address concerns and contribute ideas that enhance the learning experience for students. Their willingness to take on this responsibility demonstrates genuine commitment to their children’s education.
Chairperson PTA Dr. Ritah Nakanjako congratulated all parents who were elected to serve, expressing appreciation for their dedication. “This kind of partnership is exactly what helps our students succeed,” remarked during the session.

Partnership for Success
Trinity College Nabbingo has always maintained that education works best when parents and teachers collaborate closely. The orientation reinforced this philosophy, with both parties agreeing that Senior One is a crucial transition period that requires proper support and guidance.
Parents who attended expressed satisfaction with the information shared and said they felt better prepared to support their children through this new phase of education. The session created a foundation of trust and cooperation that will benefit students throughout their time at the school.
Trinity College Nabbingo looks forward to working with the newly elected committee members and all parents to ensure the S.1 class receives the best possible start to their secondary education journey.
The school continues to uphold its reputation its mission of “To produce upright, academically sound, socially balanced and physically capable women to serve God and their country“.
